Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub that has been traditionally used in India for more than 3000 years to manage stress, anxiety, and depression and to improve cognitive health. The main ingredients are withanolides, such as withaferin A. Recently, research has shown that ashwagandha combined with exercise can lower stress levels and reduces anxiety however, more research is needed to prove its health benefits.
How to use it
For relaxation, stir one level measuring spoon (4 g) into at least 100 ml of milk, milk substitute, water, smoothie, yogurt or cereal once daily and enjoy.
